From One Man to a Ten-Strong Team
Chris Wright started Wright's Contractors in 2020 with a clear idea: do good work, charge fair prices, and let the results speak for themselves. It began as a one-man operation out of Knaresborough, taking on fencing jobs and small groundwork projects across North Yorkshire.
Word got around. The work was solid, the prices were fair, and people started recommending us. Within a couple of years we'd taken on our first employees, invested in our own plant and machinery, and started working on bigger projects.
Today, Wright's Contractors is a 10-strong team with our own fleet of diggers, dumpers, post knockers, wood chippers, and work vehicles. We handle everything from full site groundworks to garden landscaping, driveways, fencing, and equestrian work.
The growth has been quick, but the approach hasn't changed. We still answer the phone. We still turn up on time. And we still take pride in leaving every job better than we found it.
