Digger Operator
Based from Knaresborough, working across North Yorkshire
We are looking for a capable digger operator to join our team on varied groundworks, drainage, landscaping and rural projects.

You will operate excavators and compact plant across projects in North Yorkshire, working on excavation, grading, trenching, loading and site preparation. Jobs range from domestic landscaping to larger commercial and agricultural works.
We need an operator who works safely and accurately, looks after the machine and communicates well with the ground team. Experience working around services, existing properties and restricted-access sites is especially useful.
The role is based from Knaresborough, with work across North Yorkshire and surrounding areas. Working hours, pay and the working arrangement will be discussed with suitable applicants.
What you'll do
- Operate excavators and compact plant safely and efficiently
- Carry out excavation, grading, trenching, loading and backfilling
- Work accurately around levels, services and restricted access
- Complete daily machine checks and report any defects
- Support groundworkers and other trades when required
- Keep the work area safe, tidy and well organised
What we're looking for
- Proven practical experience operating diggers or excavators
- Good awareness of site safety, underground services and surroundings
- The ability to work accurately from levels and site instructions
- A reliable, careful and team-focused approach
- Details of relevant plant tickets or certificates held
- Details of your driving licence and the machine sizes you have operated
